It
is the local clone of Nakhcivan. There is a similar clone type in
Turkmenistan. The main difference between them is the color of seeds.
Turkmenistan's Malayi is greenish grey. We give the description of
Nakhcivan Meleyi.
Bushes grow with medium rapid.
Flowers are self-pollinated. Clusters are medium-large,
cone-shaped, winged and medium-dense. Seeds are medium-large, round,
dark blue and have dense wax layers. The denseness of wax layer
increases the quality of blue color. Skin is thick but elastic. Languid
is fleshy, juicy and juice is transparent. The taste is ordinary,
pleasant with good flavor.
It is medium late ripening type. Productive, sugar is 19-20 percent.
From this clone, dark colored table and dessert wines are produced.
