Category: The local grape varieties

Its homeland is Asia Minor. It was brought to the South Crimea then to North Caucasus and Ukraine. Afterwards it was brought to Krasnodar and Stavropol. It has different variations. Black Chaush, pink and white Chaush. Nowadays a few bushes are grown in Ganja Grape-trading LTD.
Bushes are strong. Flowers are functional female type. Clusters are medium and big, cylindrical-cone shaped, if cross pollinated well. They get thick, when pollinated not artificially. They are rare and very seedy. Berries are very big, oval, eggshaped, greenish white, when fully ripen it becomes golden-yellow in the sun. Skin is medium thick, not rough, when eating can be divided into parts easily; actually the skin is not felt. Languid is fleshy-juicy. Taste is ordinary, not too sweet, very delicate and harmonious. White Chaush is typical table grape. The taste is so specific that can easily be recognized when eating without looking at the grape. It is fully ripen in Crimea at the end of August, in Ganja in the middle of August. Productivity is high. But productivity is not stable depending on the normal watering and pollination. We don't pollinate artificially. Together with other sorts normal crop can be cultivated.
It is early ripen table grape.
